DEFROSTER GRILLE WARPAGE NEW CLIPS TO HOLD IN POSITION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1982 Buick Centurys

Defroster grille warpage has been reported on the 1982 Buick Centurys. This can be corrected by the following procedures:

1) Install a clip, Part No. 25516192 to hold the grille in the proper position (See Figure A).

If the above is not successful, the installation of 1983 defroster and speaker grille, Part No. 25513450 (right) and 25513451 (left).

A modification must be made in the instrument panel to accept this new part. A slit must be cut in the instrument panel trim so that when the grille is installed the tab will hold it in position (See Figure B).
