Some customers of the 2002 Buick Century vehicle with the 3.1L LG8 engine without the DIC cluster option may complain that the "change oil soon" light never comes on.
This condition is caused by the cluster sending erroneous PCM "reset oil life" class 2 messages to the PCM software calibration.
To correct this condition, the technician needs to program the PCM per PCM calibration P/N 12589509, found on TIS CD.
