SUBJECT: REAR SUSPENSION SPRING CLUNK (INSTALL SPRING LOWER INSULATORS)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 ROADMASTER ESTATE WAGONS

CONDITION:

----------- Some 1991 Roadmaster Estate Wagons assembled prior to VIN breakpoint MW406956 may exhibit a clunking type noise from the rear of the vehicle when being operated over irregular road surfaces.

CAUSE:

------- Rear coil spring movement on rear axle assembly spring seats.

CORRECTION:

------------ Install rear spring lower insulators, P/N 10004110 (2 required/vehicle) at the spring to axle assembly spring seat interface following applicable Service Manual procedures.
