DTC P0723 - keywords circuit code DTC intermittent mil oss output p0723 sensor ses speed

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

This vehicle may have a concern of an intermittent DTC P0723.

Check freeze frame data to see if code set in park.

If the DTC set while vehicle was in park the cause is noise (EMI) on the sensor circuit. Reprogram the TCM and the ECM. The Techline terminal should automatically perform both calibrations once the TCM update has been selected.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
