The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The Steering Wheel Controls (SWC) operate the wrong functions.
Some common concerns are:
Pushing Vol Up causes the HVAC Temp LH Up
Pushing Band causes Scan Down
Pushing Mute causes Vol Up
Pushing Tune Up causes LH Temp Up
Pushing Tune Down causes Scan Up
Other combinations may be seen, but if the Radio SWC buttons are operating any HVAC function, the following recommendation should be performed.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Perform a Radio Setup in the Tech2 and select the appropriate RPO options.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
