  1. Disconnect the hood ajar switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between connector terminal A (BLK/PNK) and terminal B (BLK) of the hood ajar switch.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the driver information center (DIC) HOOD AJAR indicator illuminate?

Inspect the HOOD AJAR switch connector for proper terminal contact.

Is the connector terminal contact OK?

Inspect for an open in CKT 109 (PNK/BLK).

Is the wiring OK?

Repair the poor terminal contact.

Inspect terminal B4 of instrument cluster connector C1 and terminal C5 of C200 for proper terminal contact.

Are the connector terminals OK?
