POOR TAIL LAMP APPEARANCE NEW FILLER STRIP RELEASED

SUBJECT: TAILLAMP APPEARANCE/FILLER STRIP RELEASED FOR SERVICE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 PARK AVENUE/PARK AVENUE ULTRA START OF PRODUCTION THROUGH M1625334

CONDITION:

Owners of some early Park Avenue/Park Avenue Ultras may comment that the gap between the taillamp housing avid the quarter panel is unsightly or uneven from side to side. To correct this condition, a filler strip kit has been released for service. The part number for the kit is 25600981.

CORRECTION:

1. Remove the taillamp assembly from the vehicle as per the service manual.

2. Clean the surface where the strip is to be installed as per the illustration.

3. Apply the filler strip to the body 10mm from the outboard edge of the quarter panel.

4. Reinstall the taillamp assembly.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
