----------- Some owners of 1991 Park Avenue or Ultra models may comment on a poor appearing back glass molding. The molding may appear short at the lower ends or may stick up in the upper corners.
----------- 1. Obtain the rear window molding kit, part number 12509185. This kit contains both the upper and lower moldings and the proper adhesive.
2. Remove the upper molding and assure the retainer channel is clean and dry. Apply a light bead of the adhesive provided in one inch lengths in the locations shown on Figure 1. Apply only enough adhesive to assure proper retention.
3. Install the new upper molding by installing the corners first and then working toward the middle from both sides. After the top is installed, install the sides of the molding from the top down.
4. Remove the lower reveal molding. Assure the channel in the retainer is clean and dry. Apply adhesive in one inch lengths in areas noted on Figure 1.
5. Center and install the lower reveal molding. Assure the side molding is tucked into the notch at the ends of the lower molding.
Parts are expected to be available on December 2, 1991. In case of limited inventory, parts will be placed on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense and all other order types will be placed on backorder until the 400 control is removed.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
