REAR BRAKE SHOES FREEZE TO DRUMS-NEW PART NO. RELEASED

SUBJECT: REAR BRAKE SHOES FREEZE TO DRUMS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 PARK AVENUE/PARK AVENUE ULTRA AND LESABRE MODELS

CONDITION:

---------- Some 1991 Park Avenue/Park Avenue Ultra and LeSabre models may experience the following condition. When the rear brake shoes are damp and the ambient temperature is 32 deg Fahrenheit or lower, the shoes may freeze to the brake drum. This normally occurs after the vehicle has gone through an automatic car wash or heavy slush and then is parked for sometime.

CORRECTION:

----------- If a customer should complain of the above condition, replace both left and right brake shoes with the listed part numbers. The shoes have a lower metallic content and will easily break loose from the brake drum.
