SUBJECT: DEFROSTER ARM LINK UNHOOKED OR BROKEN (NEW PARTS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 "C" MODELS

CONDITION:

---------- Some 1991 Cadillac DeVilles and Fleetwoods may experience no A/C - Defrost mode door operation causing no mode change from defrost or A/C.

CORRECTION:

----------- The above condition may be corrected by performing one of the following procedures:

1. Verify that the defrost actuator arm/link to the A/C defrost mode door has not slipped off the hook at the end of the crank. The link can be held in place by a push-on nut, part number #11501927.

2. Verify that the defrost actuator bracket has not broken away from the modular duct. This would require replacement of the modular duct, part number #52453656.

3. Inspect the hook on the A/C defrost door crank and the hook itself to ensure it has not broken. This would require replacement of the defroster door, part number #52453658.
