---------- Owners of some 1991 "C" car models may comment about the defrost pattern or weak blower operation on the driver's side of the windshield.
------------ 1. Remove Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad 2. Remove Information Centre containing tell tale lights 3. Remove screw in boss, see figure. 4. Remove vanes two, four, and six from distributor assembly by wrapping vanes with duct tape and twisting out with 3 inch 90 degree needle nose pliers. (Snap-On 497ACP or equivalent)
5. Reinstall the Information Centre and Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad. 6. Clean inside of the windshield and top of the IP upper trim pad.
CORRECTION: (Cadillac) ------------------------- 1. Remove Instrument Panel upper Trim Pad. 2. Remove screw in boss, see figure. 3. Remove vanes two, four, and six from distributor assembly by wrapping vanes with duct tape and twisting out with 3 inch 90 degree needle nose pliers. (Snap-ON 497ACP or equivalent)
4. Add a 5/16" thick strip of foam to rear flange of defroster duct to seal the gap between the Instrument Panel upper trim pad and the distributor assembly. 5. Reinstall the Instrument Panel upper trim pad. 6. Clean inside of the windshield and top of the IP upper trim pad.
CORRECTION: (OLDS) ------------------ 1. Remove Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad. 2. Wrap vanes two, four, and six and boss with duct tape, see figure.
3. Cut screw, fourth vane, and boss out of distributor assembly. 4. Remove vanes two and six from distributor assembly by twisting out with 90 degree needle nose pliers. 5. Reinstall Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad. 6. Clean inside of the windshield and top of the I.P. upper trim pad.
