WIRE WHEEL COVERS MISSING OR INCORRECT PARTS SHIPPED. Buick Park Avenue 1991

DCS MESSAGE

CONDITION:

A LIMITED NUMBER OF 1991 PARK AVENUES WERE SHIPPED WITH WIRE WHEEL COVERS (N91) THAT EITHER CANNOT BE INSTALLED ON THE FRONT WHEELS OR THE LUGNUTS WILL NOT RETAIN THE LOCKING CAP.

CORRECTION:

1. APPROXIMATELY 50 VEHICLES WERE SHIPPED WITH A WHEEL COVER PACKAGE TWO RETAINERS SHY. IF THIS IS THE CONDITION OBSERVED, CALL YOUR DSM WITH THE VIN. THE DSM WILL CONTACT WENTZVILLE TO HAVE A NEW WHEEL COVER PACKAGE SHIPPED TO THE DEALERSHIP. NO TRANSPORTATION CLAIM (3098) IS REQUIRED BY THE DEALERSHIP.

2. THE REMAINDER OF THE VEHICLES WILL REQUIRE TEN NEW LUGNUTS, PART #10017687. A NEW WHEEL COVER PACKAGE IS NOT REQUIRED. THESE LUGNUTS HAVE A SHOULDER THAT WILL NOT PULL THROUGH THE RETAINER. DO NOT CALL WENTZVILLE TO OBTAIN THESE PARTS; ORDER THEM FROM GMSPO. THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD FILE A TRANSPORTATION CLAIM (3098) FOR THE PARTS NOTING THE ABOVE CONDITION.
