Assembly Procedure

    Object Number: 324864 Size: SH
  1. Install the inner race (4).
  2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (3).
  3. Install the upper bearing spring (2).
  4. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1). Lubricate the assembly with synthetic grease.

    5. Object Number: 324866 Size: SH
  5. Center the race and upper shaft assembly (1) to the 12 o'clock position.

    6. Object Number: 325109 Size: SH
  6. Install the shaft lock shield assembly (2).

    7. Important: The bearing retainer must be firmly seated in the groove on the race and upper shaft assembly (3).

  7. Install the bearing retainer (1).
  8. Install the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .
