Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat cushion and seatback. Refer to the following procedures:
    2. •  Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats
    •  Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats
  2. Remove the sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Seat Trim Panel Replacement in Seats.

  4. Remove the rear seat belt retractor sound barrier (1).

    5. The rear seat belt retractor sound barrier is located inside of the trunk under the rear shelf panel.

  5. Remove the retractor assembly bolt.
  6. Push downward on the retractor assembly in order to release the cleaves from the key hole.

  7. Remove the shoulder belt guide loop anchor bolt.

  8. Remove the lower anchor bolt.
  9. Remove the outside belt assembly.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the outside belt assembly.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the lower anchor bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the anchor bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the guide loop anchor bolt.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the anchor bolt to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  4. Use the following steps in order to install the retractor assembly:
    5. 4.1. Align the cleaves in the key hole.
    4.2. Pull upward on the assembly in order to snap the cleaves into the top of the key hole.
  5. Install the retractor assembly bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the rear seat belt retractor sound barrier (1).
  7. Install the rear shelf panel. Refer to Rear Seat Trim Panel Replacement in Seats.
  8. Install the sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the seatback and seat cushion. Refer to the following procedures:
