Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

The following VF displays turn on:

    • The radio
    • The heater and A/C programmer
    • The instrument cluster
    • The head-up display (HUD) with UV6

Vacuum Fluorescent Displays Inoperative - All

Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.

    • All of the park lamps turn on.
    • The VF displays turn on.
    • The following incandescent lamps turn on, if equipped:
       - The headlamp switch
       - The passenger climate control
       - The ashtray lamp
       - The left heated seat switch
       - The right heated seat switch
       - The left side steering wheel controls
       - The right side steering wheel controls
       - The heater and A/C control
       - The driver information center (DIC) switch
       - The left front door lock switch
       - The left front power window switch
       - The right front door lock switch
       - The right front power window switch
       - The instrument cluster
       - The radio

Operate the dimming switch on the headlamp switch in both directions through the full range.

The following components all vary in dimming level according to the level of the dimming switch:

    • The incandescent lamps
    • The heater and A/C programmer
    • The instrument cluster VF displays

Incandescent Lamps Do Not Dim

Operate the dimming control on the HUD switch in both directions through the full range.

The HUD VF display varies in dimming level according to the dimming level of the HUD dimming switch.

The head-up display (HUD) VF display does not vary in dimming level as the HUD dimming switch operates. Refer to Head Up Display (HUD) System Check in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
