The driver information center may be used in order to warn
the driver of certain vehicle malfunctions and any required action. Warning
messages are displayed by priority, with the higher priority messages displayed
first. A list of messages follows. A complete list of messages with an
analysis is provided in the diagnostic portion of Instrument Cluster. An
export ID# accompanies warning messages for non-US vehicles. Warning messages,
when active, may be reset or removed from the display by pressing any 1
of the DIC buttons. Warning messages may be superseded by personalization
messages if they exist. The following warning messages appear on the DIC:

• | ENG. COOLANT LOW CHECK LEVEL |
• | ENGINE OIL LOW CHECK LEVEL |
• | TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM ACTIVE |
A complete list of messages and analysis is provided in the diagnostic
portion of Instrument Cluster. An export ID# will accompany status messages
for non-US vehicles. Pressing any one of the DIC buttons will reset or remove
any active status messages from the display. Personalization messages supersede
status messages.
For Cellular Telephone Messages (if equipped), the cellular telephone
status is displayed by the instrument cluster as listed below, where ### indicates
the cellular telephone received signal strength:

The instrument cluster may also display phone numbers stored in the
cellular telephone's memory with associated alpha-tags and digit dialing.
Cellular telephone displays, when active, cannot be reset or removed from
the display. Warning/Status messages may supersede cellular telephone
displays if they exist.
For personalization status messages, use the driver information center
in order to allow the driver to customize various vehicle features through
the personalization displays. Personalization messages display in a predetermined
order. Initial messages will provide instructions on how to use the system,
followed by the actual customize selection messages. A list of messages
follows. A complete list of messages and analysis is provided in the diagnostic
portion of this section. An export ID# will accompany the instructional
messages for non-US vehicles:

Pressing either the ODO/TRIP, FUEL INFO or GAGE buttons may remove personalization
messages from the display , when active. Driver identifier messages supersede
personalization displays if they exist.
For the Driver Identifier Messages, the DIC may be used in order to
indicate the current driver # of the vehicle. This information is displayed
at each ignition cycle and is part of the vehicle personalization functions.
You may program actual customer names into the instrument cluster in order
to appear in the driver # display for added convenience. A complete list
of messages and analysis is provided in the diagnostic portion of this
section. An export ID# will accompany the driver identifier messages for
non-US vehicles. The DIC may display the following messages:
You cannot remove active driver identifier messages from the display.
Other messages cannot supersede driver identifier displays.
