Removal Procedure
  1. Partially open the IP compartment.
  2. Pull down the stops. Allow the IP compartment to travel past the stops.

    3. Object Number: 488046 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 5 fasteners (1) that secure the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
  4. Remove the IP compartment bucket from the IP compartment door.

    5. Object Number: 488049 Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 fasteners (3) from the latch assembly.
  6. Using a stiff blade, slide the handle retainer (1) off of the handle.
  7. Remove the handle and latch assembly from the IP compartment.
  8. Disengage the wire (2) from the handle to the latch.

    9. Note the position of the wire for the proper installation.

  9. Remove the lock cylinder from the handle. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the lock cylinder to the handle. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 488049 Size: SH
  2. Install the rod (2) from the latch assembly to the handle.
  3. Install the handle and latch assembly to the IP compartment door.
  4. Slide on the handle retainer (1).
  5. Install the latch assembly fasteners (3).

    6. Object Number: 488046 Size: SH
  6. Install the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
  7. Install the 5 fasteners (1) in order to secure the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
  8. Close the IP compartment.
