Removal Procedure

    Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the inner and the outer belt moldings. Refer to Molding Replacement - Window Belt .
  4. Remove the speaker assembly. Refer to Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  5. Raise or lower the window in order to access the 4 retaining clips.
  6. Loosen the front guide channel bolts. Remove the guide, if needed.

  7. Object Number: 259159  Size: SH
  8. Remove the window (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the plastic retainer (2) to the glass.

  2. Object Number: 259161  Size: SH
  3. Install the snap retainers (2) into the window lift channel.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Tighten the front guide channel bolts, if loosened.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front guide channel bolts to 9 N·m (72 lb in).

  7. Install the speaker assembly. Refer to Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  8. Install the inner and the outer belt moldings. Refer to Molding Replacement - Window Belt .
  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement or Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
