1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity K (YEL)

•	Right: cavity N (LT GRN)

2. Move the appropriate headrest switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity M (LT GRN/BLK)

•	Right: cavity R (YEL)

2. Move the appropriate headrest switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the suspect seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the seat switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat headrest motor connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity A (YEL)

•	Right: cavity A (LT GRN)

2. Move the appropriate headrest switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat headrest motor connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity B (PPL)

•	Right: cavity B (YEL)

2. Move the headrest switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 9

Replace the suspect seat headrest motor. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Head Restraint Adjuster Motor Replacement .

Is the seat headrest motor replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit:

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
