Did you perform the Heated Seats System Check?

  1. Disconnect the appropriate heated seat switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper from the battery positive voltage (B+) to the appropriate cavity of the heated seat switch connector:
  3. • Left: cavity B (BRN)
    • Right: cavity B (BRN/WHT)
  4. Connect a fused jumper from the heated seat switch connector cavity E (BLK) to ground.

Does the high heat LED light?

  1. Disconnect the appropriate heated seat module connector C1.
  2. Connect a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) between the appropriate components:
  3. • Left: the heated seat module connector C1 cavity D (BRN) and the heated seat switch connector cavity B (BRN)
    • Right: the heated seat module connector C1 cavity D (BRN/WHT) and the heated seat switch connector cavity B (BRN/WHT)

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Replace the suspect heated seat module. Refer to Heater Module Replacement .

Is the heated seat module replacement complete?

Replace the suspect heated seat switch.

Is the heated seat switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit between the heated seat module and the heated seat switch:

    • Left: CKT 1463 (BRN)
    • Right: CKT 1506 (BRN/WHT)

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
