A 1998 C OR G CAR COULD HAVE THE RADIO INOPERATIVE WHERE NO SOUND COMES OUT OF THE SPEAKERS. THE CAUSE COULD BE A LOGIC LOCK-UP IN THE RADIO. IF THIS CONDITION IS NOTED ON CARS WITH STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROL WILL MOVE THE VOLUME KNOB ON THE RADIO UP AND DOWN WHILE DEPRESSING THE VOLUME SWITCHES ON THE STEERING WHEEL, BUT NO SOUND WILL COME OUT OF THE SPEAKERS. THE REPAIR IS TO CAREFULLY REMOVE AND REPLACE THE 10 AMP RADIO FUSE TO CLEAR THE LOGIC LOCK-UP. ON THE 1998 PARK AVENUE, IT IS FUSE #17.
