SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 - 45 MPH UP A SLIGHT GRADE THEY HEAR A CONSTANT WHISTLE TYPE NOISE. THE CONDITION MAY BE DUPLICATED IN THE STALL BY BRAKE TORQUING TO 2300 - 2500 RPM ABOUT 20 - 25% TPS.
THE THROTTLE BODY AIR BLADE DESIGN WAS CHANGED FOR 1998 MODEL YEAR ON H BODY AND C BODY VEHICLES. THE NEW DESIGN THROTTLE BLADE HAS A PROTRUSION THAT MAY BE CAUSING THE WHISTLE NOISE.
INSTALL THROTTLE BODY P/N 24507238. THIS THROTTLE BODY HAS A NEWLY REDESIGNED THROTTLE BLADE.
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE THROUGH GMSPO.
