Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  3. Remove the inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  4. Remove enough of the window weatherstrip in order to access the door applique fasteners.

    5. Grasp the front lower end of the window weatherstrip and pull the weatherstrip out of the door frame, far enough in order to access the door applique fasteners.

  5. Remove the 2 screws (2) from the inside edge of the door frame.
  6. Remove the 2 screws (4) from the door frame.
  7. Slide the applique down until the applique clears the upper auxiliary molding.
  8. Tilt the top of the applique outwards.
  9. Lift the applique in order to remove.

Installation Procedure

  1. Insert the bottom of the applique (1) in behind the outer belt molding against the door frame.
  2. Tilt the applique inwards against the door frame.
  3. Slide the applique (1) up under the upper auxiliary molding until the applique fastener holes are aligned with the holes in the door frame.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fasteners (4) in the run channel frame.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the fasteners (2) in the inside edge of the door frame.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the window weatherstrip into the door frame.
  7. Install the inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  9. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
