Removal Procedure
- Partially open the IP compartment.
- Pull down the stops. Allow the IP compartment to travel past the stops.
- Remove the 5 fasteners (1) that connect the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
- Remove the IP compartment bucket from the IP compartment door.
- Remove the 2 fasteners (3) from the latch assembly.
- Disengage the rod (2) from the handle to the latch.
- Slide the handle retainer (1) off of the handle using the stiff blade.
- Remove the handle and the latch from the IP compartment.
- Push a paper clip through the hole in the back of the latch in order to hold down the silver tumbler on the lock cylinder.
- Rotate the cylinder a quarter turn counterclockwise.
- Remove the IP compartment lock cylinder.
Note the position of the rod for the proper installation.
While holding down the tumbler, insert the key.
Installation Procedure
- While pushing down the silver tumbler on the lock cylinder, insert the key into the lock cylinder key hole.
- Install the lock cylinder to the lock assembly.
- Turn the key a quarter turn clockwise and remove the key.
- Install the handle assembly to the door.
- Install the rod (2) from the latch assembly to the handle.
- Install the latch assembly and the fasteners (3).
- Install the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
- Install the 5 fasteners (1) in order to connect the IP compartment bucket to the IP compartment door.
- Close the IP compartment door.
- Check the lock cylinder operation.
Slide on the retainer (1).
