Red Brake Warning Light On - keywords harness indicator IP park short wiring

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

The red brake warning lamp may be illuminated. Inspect circuit 1134 (light blue wire) which runs from the park brake switch behind the radio to the instrument cluster for chaffing on the instrument cluster bracket.

Remove the radio and push the harness away from the bracket. If the warning light goes out, circuit 1134 is chaffed and should be repaired and re-routed away from the bracket.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
