REVISED 7/84 SERVICE PROM #1226923, RELEASED TO CORRECT POOR PERFORMANCE IN THE 1984 3.8L TURBOCHARGED REGAL, WAS PROGRAMMED INCORRECTLY BY DELCO ELECTRONICS. AS A RESULT, THE PROM WILL NOT WORK IN THE VEHICLE. RESULTS, IF INSTALLED, WILL BE A SOLID "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT, AND CODE 51. THE VEHICLE WILL RUN IN FUEL BACKUP MODE. ALL WDDGM STOCK FOR PART #1226923 IS DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD NOT BE ORDERED. ANOTHER BULLETIN WILL BE RELEASED AS SOON AS NEW PROMS ARE AVAILABLE.
