A new PROM has been released for service to repair:

Hard cold starts Cold cranks Reduces overboost levels Correct false codes 34, 42, and 43.

This PROM is released for service use only. Should a customer comment be received concerning hard cold starts, surge or poor performance at wide open throttle, or use of Diagnostic Charts 34, 42 and 43 lead to no trouble found. PROM Part Number 1227058 should be ordered from PARTS and installed per the 1984 Chassis Service Manual.
