The ignition switch is incorrectly set.

•	Adjust the switch as needed.

•	Replace the components as needed. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle

The linkage is improperly adjusted.

•	Adjust the linkage as needed.

•	Replace the components as needed. Refer to Electric Park Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle or Linear Shift Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Linear Shift Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The lock cylinder is damaged.

Replace the lock cylinder as needed. Refer to Coolant Heater Replacement or Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Assemble - Off Vehicle or Electric Park Lock Module - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
