The following components may be damaged:

1. The ignition switch
2. The lock cylinder
3. The park lock cable

1. Inspect the components.
2. Replace the components as needed. Refer to Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Ignition and Key Alarm Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Disassemble - Off Vehicle or Steering Column Lock Cylinder Set - Assemble - Off Vehicle .

The ignition key is worn or damaged.

1. Inspect the ignition key.
2. Replace the ignition key as necessary.
