  1. Press the lockout switch to OFF position.
  2. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  3. Disconnect the inoperative window switch.
  4. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  5. Use a test light, to probe the inoperative window switch terminal B and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Use a test light, to probe the inoperative window switch terminal A and E.
  2. Press the LF window switch up and down.

Is the test light on in both cases?

Go to Step 4

Repair a poor connection or open in circuit 1307 between the switch terminal B and S307.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

--

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect the window switch.
  3. Disconnect the window regulator motor.

  4. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  5. With a test light, probe the window regulator motor terminal A and B.
  6. Press the switch up and down.

Is the test light on in both cases?

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the LF window switch.
  3. Use a J 39200 in order to check continuity in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Is there continuity?

--

Replace the window regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement or refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

  1. Turn the ignition to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the window switch.
  3. Use a J 39200, to check continuity in circuit 666, 668 or 670.

Is there continuity?

Go to Step 10

Check for a short to ground in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Is there a short in the circuit?

Repair an open in circuit 166, 168 or 170.

Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

Check for a short to ground in circuit 666, 668 or 670.

Is there a short in the circuit?
