1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .



2. Peel the water deflector off the door inner panel.
3. Remove any waterproof tape.

A clear waterproof sound deadener deflector seals the door inner panel. Pressure-sensitive adhesive located on the outboard surface of the deflector secures the deflector to the door inner panel. The deflector may be peeled back as needed in order to service the door components.

1. Install the water deflector to the door inner panel.

Align the hook pockets with the trim hook holes in the inner panel.

2. Press the sealer around the periphery of the deflector in order to ensure proper seating.
3. Install waterproof tape to any damaged areas of the deflector.
4. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
