1. Disconnect the rear window defogger relay.
2. Turn the ignition switch on.
3. Using a test light, probe between B+ and the rear window defogger relay connector terminal C5.

Is the test light on?

Using a test light, probe between the rear window defogger relay connector terminal B5 and ground.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 3

Replace the rear window defogger relay.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Check for a short to ground in CKT 193 (WHT).

Is there a short to ground in CKT 193 (WHT)?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 193 (WHT).

Is the repair complete?

--

1. Replace the heater-a/c control. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement for the manual HVAC system or;
2. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement for the Automatic HVAC system.

1. Leave the test light connected from previous step.
2. Remove the HEATED MIRROR fuse from the fuse block.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 8

Repair short to B+ in CKT 293 (PPL).

Repair short to B+ in CKT 267 (ORN).
