Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to (bucket) Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or (split bench) Split Bench Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the finish panels. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the center armrest, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 325049  Size: SH
  5. Unfasten the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.
  6. Slide the cushion cover up in order to expose the recliner to seat back attachment.

  7. Object Number: 325063  Size: SH
  8. Remove the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  9. Remove the roll pins from the recliner to seat back.
  10. Discard the roll pins.

  11. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back.
  12. Remove the trim retainer rings.
  13. Unfasten the hook and loop retainers that attach the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad.
  14. Pull the seat cushion cover from the pad.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 325063  Size: SH
  1. Pull the seat cushion cover over the pad.
  2. Fasten the hook and loop retainers that attach the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad.

  3. Object Number: 325049  Size: SH
  4. Install the trim retainer rings.
  5. Install the center armrest, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .
  6. Install the seat cushion to the seat back.
  7. Install the roll pins to the recliner to the seat back.
  8. Use new roll pins.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the recliner to seat back frame pivot bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Slide the cushion cover down in order to cover the recliner to seat back attachment.
  12. Fasten the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.
  13. Install the center armrest, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .
  14. Install the finish panel. Refer to Power Seat Riser Trim Cover Replacement .
  15. Install the front seat. Refer to (bucket) Front Seat Replacement - Bucket or (split bench) Split Bench Seat Replacement .
