Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2002 🢒 Regal 🢒 HVAC 🢒 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning 🢒 Vent Door Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the vacuum tank. Refer to Vacuum Tank Replacement in HVAC System - Manual.
  2. Remove the floor carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Interior Trim.

    3. Object Number: 508435 Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear floor air outlet duct from the holes in the floor reinforcement.
  4. Disconnect the rear floor air outlet duct from the heater core outlet cover.
  5. Remove the bolts from the vaccum harness bracket and position bracket aside.

    6. Object Number: 508311 Size: SH
  6. Remove the heater outlet cover screws.
  7. Remove the heater outlet cover.
  8. Disconnect the defroster/vent door link at the vent door on the left side of the HVAC module assembly.

    9. Object Number: 295349 Size: SH
  9. Remove the heater core cover screws.
  10. Remove the heater core cover.

    11. Object Number: 607149 Size: SH
  11. Remove the vent door (1) from the HVAC module assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 607149 Size: SH
  1. Install the vent door (1) to the HVAC module assembly.

    2. Object Number: 295349 Size: SH
  2. Install the heater core cover.
  3. Install the heater core cover screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the cover screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  4. Install the heater core outlet cover.
  5. Install the screws to the heater core outlet cover.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  6. Install the HVAC vaccum harness bracket .
  7. Install the screws to the HVAC vaccum harness bracket.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  8. Connect the defroster/vent door link at the vent door on the left side of the HVAC module assembly.

    9. Object Number: 508435 Size: SH
  9. Connect the rear floor air outlet duct to the heater core outlet cover.
  10. Install the rear floor air outlet duct to the holes in the floor reinforcement.
  11. Install the floor carpet. Refer to Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement in Interior Trim.
  12. Install the vacuum tank. Refer to Vacuum Tank Replacement in HVAC System - Manual.
