Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.1L or Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.

    2. Object Number: 164784 Size: SH
  2. Remove the line pressure pipe plug (38).

Installation Procedure
  1. Apply GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the line pressure pipe plug.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the oil pressure test hole plug (38).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the plug  (38) to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.1L or Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
