When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

If a PCM was replaced on 2004 Buick Regal, Chevrolet Impala, or Chevrolet Monte Carlo with 3.8L L36 engine and now an DTC P0135 is set, an incorrect PCM part number may have been installed.

The 2004 Buick Regal, Chevrolet Impala, or Chevrolet Monte Carlo was built with PCM part number 12582720 and was superseded to PCM part number 12583826. The PCM part number 12583826 will set DTC P0135 if installed. The dealer needs to order PCM part number 12583827 from GMSPO to correct the concern.
