Removal Procedure
  1. Re-position the sift lever boot out of the way (2).

    2. Object Number: 891830 Size: SH
  2. Remove the retaining screw 3) from the lever.
  3. Remove the lever (1).

Installation Procedure
  1. Insert the shift lever (1) into the shift lever housing.

    2. Object Number: 891830 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the shift lever retaining screw (3).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the shift lever retaining screw to 6.67 N·m (1.5 lb ft).

  3. Reposition the shift lever boot (2).
