Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 12238 Size: SH
  1. Remove the left instrument panel sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  2. Remove the accelerator control cable (1) from accelerator pedal (2).
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal retainer (3).
  4. Remove the accelerator pedal (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 12238 Size: SH
  1. Install the accelerator pedal (2).
  2. Install the accelerator pedal retainer (3).
  3. Install the accelerator control cable (1) to accelerator pedal.
  4. Install the left instrument panel sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side .

    5. Important: Check for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal. Also check for poor carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.

    The throttle should operate freely without binding between full closed and wide open throttle.
