Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle Olds

Important: The steering column must be in the 12 o' clock position.

1. Align the block tooth on the steering shaft assembly to the 12 o' clock position.



2. Install the wave washer (3).

Important: A new SIR coil assembly will come precentered. Do not remove the orange tab on the SIR coil assembly until installation is complete.

3. If installing the existing SIR coil assembly it must be centered first, refer to Inflatable Restraint Coil Centering - Off Vehicle (Column Shift And Floor Shift) .
4. Install the SIR coil assembly (2).
5. Install the retaining ring (1).



6. Install the SIR coil assembly connector to the fused jumper assembly connector.



7. Pop the wire harness assembly into the wire harness strap (1).
8. Install the upper and lower covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
