Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 509571 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the return hose (2) from the reservoir (1).
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Disconnect the return hose (2) from the cooler pipe assembly (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 509571 Size: SH
  1. Connect the return hose (2) to the cooler pipe assembly (3).
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Connect the return hose (2) to the reservoir (1).
  4. Bleed the air from the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  5. Inspect the power steering system for leaks.
