Service Ports Replacement 2.4L

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 24182-2A Valve Core Remover /Installer
    • J 39500-B Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling, and Recharging Station
  1. Recover the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 366924  Size: SH
  3. Remove the harness from the pressure sensor (5).
  4. Remove the pressure sensor (5) from the fitting.
  5. Remove the Schrader valve from the fitting.
  6. The Schrader valve is located under the A/C pressure sensor in the compressor discharge hose.

Installation Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 24182-2A Valve Core Remover /Installer
    • J 39500-B Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling, and Recharging Station

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the new valve to the fitting.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the valve until the valve is fully seated.

  3. Install the pressure sensor (5) to the fitting.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sensor to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Install the harness to the pressure sensor (5).
  6. Evacuate and charge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

Service Ports Replacement 3.1L

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

    • J 24182-2A Valve Core Remover /Installer
    • J 39500-B Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling, and Recharging Station
  1. Recover the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 366926  Size: SH
  3. Remove the harness from the pressure sensor (10).
  4. Remove the pressure sensor (10) from the fitting.
  5. Remove the Schrader valve from the fitting.
  6. The Schrader valve is located under the A/C pressure sensor (10) in the compressor discharge hose (4).
