Did you perform the Exterior Lamps Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
2. Remove the turn/hazard from the convenience center.
3. Connect a test lamp between terminal 1 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Activate either turn signal
2. Ensure that the ignition switch is still in the RUN position.
3. Connect a 20-amp fused jumper between terminal 1 and terminal 4.

Does the turn signal operate properly?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Test CKT 539 for an open or a short to ground. Repair if necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Replace the turn/hazard flasher. Refer to Hazard and Turn Signal Flasher Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

--

Test CKT 16 for an open.

Did you find an open in CKT 16?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Repair an open in CKT 16. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Exterior Lights System Check

Replace the turn/hazard headlamp switch . Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Standard.
