Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the trim plate from the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Replacement .
  2. Remove the instrument panel sound insulators. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  3. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 521013  Size: MH
  5. Remove the screws (1) and the bolt from the lower trim pad (2) on the instrument panel cluster.
  6. Remove the lower trim pad (2) from the instrument panel cluster.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 521013  Size: MH
  1. Install the lower trim pad (2) to the instrument panel cluster.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screws (1) and the bolt to the lower trim pad on the instrument panel cluster.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  6. Install the instrument panel sound insulators. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  7. Install the trim plate to the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Center Trim Replacement .
