Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the HVAC control head. Refer to HVAC Control Head Replacement
in HVAC.
- Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
- Remove the ashtray (1). Refer to
Ashtray Replacement
.
- Remove the screws (2) from the ashtray bracket (1).
- Remove the screws (2) that retain the
housing to the instrument panel.
- Remove the HVAC and radio housing (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the HVAC and radio housing (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (2)
that retain the housing to the instrument panel.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (17 lb in).
- Install the screws to the ashtray bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the screws in sequence to 2 N·m (17 lb in).
- Install the ashtray (1). Refer to
Ashtray Replacement
.
- Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
- Install the HVAC control head. Refer to HVAC Control Head Replacement
in HVAC.
- Install the instrument panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Replacement
.

the instrument panel (2).
Remove the HVAC/radio housing (1).
