Did you perform the Horns System Check?

Go to Step  2

Go to Horns System Check

1. Remove the horn relay.
2. Connect a test lamp between the horn relay connector terminal  R and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step  3

Go to Step  4

1. Connect a test lamp between the horn relay connector terminal R and terminal  S.
2. Press and hold the horn switch.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step  5

Go to Step  6

Inspect CKT 1640 for an open. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Horns System Check

--

Connect a fused jumper between the horn relay connector terminal R and terminal  T.

Does the horn sound?

--

Go to Step  8

Go to Step  7

Inspect CKT 28 and the horn switch for an open. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Horns System Check

--

1. Disconnect the horn connector with the fused jumper still connected.
2. Connect a test lamp between terminal B of the horn connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step  9

Go to Step  10

Replace the horn relay. Refer to Horn Relay Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Horns System Check

--

1. Inspect for an open in CKT 150 and CKT 250.
2. Replace the horn, if OK. Refer to Horn Replacement - Right Side or Horn Replacement - Left Side .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Horns System Check

--

Inspect CKT 29 and the horn switch for an open. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Horns System Check
