Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check?

1. Disconnect the multi-function alarm module connector C1.
2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
3. Ensure that the door locks are unlocked.
4. Connect a fused jumper between connector C1 terminal N and B+.

Do the power door locks unlock?

1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
2. Place the gear selector in the DRIVE position.
3. Measure the voltage between connector C1 terminal J and B+.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
2. Place the gear selector in the PARK position.
3. Measure the voltage between connector C1 terminal J and B+.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 13

Test the following circuits for an open:

Did you find an open in either of the circuits?

Repair the open in CKT 194. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Test for a short to ground in CKT 1786.

Did you find a short in CKT 194?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 11

Repair the short in CKT 194. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

--

Repair the open in the faulty circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Inspect the adjustment of the park neutral position switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T60 - E.

Is the adjustment OK?

Go to Step 11

Replace the park neutral position switch. Refer to Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T60 - E.

Is the repair complete?

Properly adjust the park neutral position switch. Refer to Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T60 - E.

Replace the multifunction alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
