Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Measure the voltage between the suspect door lock switch connector terminal B and ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

  1. Hold the suspect door lock switch in the LOCK position.
  2. Measure the voltage between the switch connector terminal H and ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Repair an open in CKT 40. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Hold the suspect door lock switch in the UNLOCK position.
  2. Measure the voltage between the switch connector terminal D and ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 8

Test the following circuits for an open between the faulty switch and the automatic door lock switch relay:

    • CKT 194
    • CKT 195

Did you find an open in either of the circuits?

Repair an open in the faulty circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
