Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement Bucket Seat

Tools Required

J 39509 Head Restraint Removal Tool

1. Raise the bucket seat head rest from the seatback.
2. Insert the J 39509 downward between the right side of the head rest post and the guide tube.
3. Pull upward in order to remove the head rest.

1. Install the head rest by inserting the posts into the guide tubes.
2. Push the head rest to the lowest position.
3. Engage the lock springs so that the head rest is secure.

Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement Bench Seat

1. Fabricate the special tool (2).
2. Raise the bench seat head rest to the full-up position.
3. Insert downward the fabricated special lock release tool (2) between the front of the head rest post and the guide tube.
4. Pull upward in order to remove the head rest.

1. Install the head rest by inserting the post into the guide tube.
2. Push the head rest to the lowest position.
