Removal Procedure
  1. Place the seatback in the forward position.
  2. Remove the lock release lever knob from the seatback.

    3. Object Number: 385292 Size: MH
  3. Remove the cover screws (3,4) from the front seat recliner.
  4. Remove the cover (2) from the front seat recliner.
  5. Remove the closeout strip on the lower portion of the seatback cover (2).
  6. Remove the front seat recliner bolts.
  7. Remove the front seat recliner.
  8. Disconnect the passenger E-Z entry adjuster cable (1). Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement .

Installation Procedure
  1. Connect the passenger E-Z entry adjuster cable. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Latch Release Cable Replacement .
  2. Install the front seat recliner.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front seat recliner bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat recliner bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the closeout strip on the lower portion of the seatback cover (2).
  5. Install the cover (2) to the front seat recliner.
  6. Install the cover screws (3,4) to the front seat recliner.
  7. Install the lock release lever knob to the seatback.
