Removal Procedure

  1. Pull on the cover of the high mount stop lamp in order to disengage the retaining tabs.
  2. Remove the screws that retain the high mount stop lamp.
  3. Use a flat bladed tool in order to release the retaining tabs on the socket.
  4. Remove the high mount stop lamp bulbs from the sockets.

Installation Procedure

  1. Push the new stop lamp bulbs into the sockets.
  2. Connect the sockets to the stop lamp assembly.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the screws that retain the stop lamp assembly.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to fully driven, seated, not stripped.

  6. Snap the cover onto the high mount stop lamp.
